We are seeking a skilled automation engineer to join the Automation and Data Management team. The Automation and Data Management team develops automated software and hardware systems which streamline the execution of assays in our development and manufacturing processes. A successful candidate will be responsible for design, implementation, qualification and continued improvement of systems which automate unique biochemical and cell based assays. Our focus is on developing very reliable, repeatable and robust systems.  The ability to work independently as an automation expert while partnering with assay developers and our internal software team is critical to the role. An ideal candidate will experience with a diverse set of automation equipment and software packages.  This position may evolve to include supervision of a small number of other automation engineers.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Experience working with one more liquid handling systems
  • Experience implementing automated assays
  • Experience integrating hardware from multiple vendors to create a unique automation system
  • Experience qualifying and providing long term improvements for automated system


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with deploying systems into GxP environments
  • Software development experience
  • An advanced degree in biology or chemistry
  • Experience with working cells
  • Experience with flow cytometry or ELISA type assays
  • Experience with internal software teams
  • Experience managing and/or mentoring automation engineers
