Postdoc in Chemical Engineering
An NSF-EPSCoR RII Track-1 CAWT postdoctoral fellowship is available in the department of Chemical Engineering at University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez. We are offering a unique opportunity for growth and development. Our lab works in the development of technologies for skin -based biosensing in wearables. We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow to identify and characterize skin compatible and non-absorbent materials for microfluidic sampling interfaces, and to develop and validate a sampling/sensor
prototype using a skin-like in vitro model.
The candidate must have completed a Ph.D. degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or an equivalent advanced degree. Experience in biomaterials, microfluidics and/or optical detection methods. Strong knowledge of biosensing.
