A postdoctoral research position is available in the laboratory of Associate Professor Kris Saha at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. 

The Saha lab broadly focuses on aspects of cell and gene therapy including the development of new protocols to genome edit somatic cells in the body and primary cells/stem cells outside the body.  This particular postdoctoral position is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and is focused on establishing new genome editing methods to augment the potency of cell and gene therapies.  Applications include biomanufacturing of T cell immunotherapies (e.g., CAR T cells) and genome editing therapeutics (e.g., CRISPR-Cas9). 

Candidates are expected to have a strong background in molecular biology and mammalian cell culture.  Experience with -omics technologies and bioinformatics is highly desired.  Candidates are expected to have received a Ph.D. in an engineering, life sciences, or biomedical science discipline, with publications in well-recognized scientific journals.
