Description: The Kner Advanced Imaging Lab (knerlab.engr.uga.edu) at UGA is recruiting for graduate student and postdoctoral positions. We develop novel fluorescence microscopy systems for imaging at high-resolution in multicellular samples. We are interested in developing adaptive optics and phase imaging for wavefront correction in biological samples. Currently, we are actively looking for new researchers to work Structured Illumination Microscopy and Adaptive Optics. Interested candidates should contact Peter Kner (kner@uga.edu).
Qualifications for graduate research assistantships: Undergraduate students should have a degree in physics, engineering, or a related field. Prior experience in programming, imaging, or microscopy will be helpful.
Qualifications for postdoctoral positions: Candidates should have a PhD in physics, engineering, or a related field. Graduate research should be in an area related to optical imaging. Must have experience with optical design, programming, and optical physics.
